COELLO — Linda Ann Wheeler, 64, died at 12:05 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
A celebration of life will be from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Aug. 27, in City Hall, 9124 N. Main St., in Coello.
Linda was born in Maine. She married Lavern Wheeler on Nov. 11, 1999, in Christopher.
She was a devoted and loving, wife, sister and friend. She also was an avid horse rider, who loved the outdoors.
Survivors include her husband, Lavern Wheeler of Coello; mother, Doris Briggs of Massachusetts; brother, Les Briggs of Glen Easton; and dear friend, Shannon Brown of Whiteash.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Briggs.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Linda’s memory may be made to American Cancer Society Southern Region, 4503 S W DeYoung St., Ste. 200C, Marion IL 62959.
Walker Funeral Home and Crematory in Carbondale is in charge of arrangements.
