Patricia Janet Goodman ~ Carbondale January 21, 2021

Patricia Janet Goodman, nee Bragg, peacefully passed away on January 21, 2021, in Cartersville, Georgia, at the age of 90, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a longtime resident of Carbondale, Illinois, and recently was living with her daughters in Georgia. She was a beloved Mom, Grandma Pat, Gigi, Sister/Baby, Aunt Patty and Friend to many.

Pat was born in Carbondale, Illinois, to Earl and Charlene Bragg on November 6, 1930. She attended and graduated from Carbondale University High School in 1948. She worked as an Attendance Officer at Carbondale Community High School from 1978 until her retirement in 1994. Pat loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, reading, traveling, cruising and she always greeted everyone with her beautiful smile.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Charlene Bragg, and her eldest son, Gregg Goodman.

Pat is survived by son, Jeffrey and wife, Phyllis, of Loveland, Ohio, daughter, Laura and wife, Janis, of Woodstock, Georgia, daughter Lynne, and husband, Paul Harren of Marietta, Georgia, granddaughter Jennifer Woolridge, grandson Erik Brown, grandson Steven Goodman, grandson David Warren and wife, Amanda, grandson Ryan Harren and wife, Emily, grandson Taylor Harren and wife, Charlotte, great-grandchildren, Holden, Charlotte and Vera, sister, Rita Cannon and husband Richard of Carbondale, Illinois, brother, Michael Bragg, of St. Charles, Missouri, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A private graveside service is planned through Walker Funeral home on Friday, January 29 in Carbondale, Illinois, with a Memorial Service planned in the Summer of 2021, post-COVID restrictions.

Donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association.

    Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to write to us. Our son lives in Utah now and once this virus is on the wain Phyllis and I plan a trip to Oregon. I will find out how to get in touch and hopefully meet up.
