CAMBRIA — Tammy Marie Wyatt, 49, passed away Jan. 16, 2019, in Herrin Hospital.
Tammy was born June 24, 1969, in Murphysboro, the daughter of Duane and Lois Walker Jefferson.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, in Walker Funeral Home in Hurst, with Pastor Frellen Murray officiating. Visitation will be prior from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
She is survived by her children, Brandon Lingle (Payden Adams) and Bridget (Kevin) Foy; parents, Lois Jefferson (Richard McKinney); sisters, Tiffany (Adam) Vaughn and Michelle Austill; grandchildren, Faithlyn and Nathan Foy; nieces, Kaylee and Preston Thompson, and Erika Watkins; aunts and uncles, Karl (Helen) Walker, Albert (Rhonda) Walker, Shirley Fann, Kenny (Vicki) Walker, Pam Schmidt, Kathy Walker, and many loving cousins and dear friends.Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Duane “Leon” Jefferson; grandparents, Thomas Jefferson and Fern Jefferson; Troy and Katie Walker; and cousin, Megan Fann.
Tammy was affectionately known as “Tamcat.”Tammy was a firecracker who always lit up a room and was never afraid to speak her mind. She had a soulful singing voice, a powerful arm for softball, and the ability to bring beauty into any space. Tammy had an enormous heart and shared her love with animals, especially horses, and people alike. Tammy found her greatest joy spending time in fellowship with friends and family, including chili dinners on the hill and Christmas at the boat club. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
