Frank Robert “Bob” Jarvis, 76, passed away on October 9, 2026. He was born on December 9, 1949 in Carbondale, Illinois.
Bob was a devoted family man who will be deeply missed. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Brenda (Parson) Jarvis, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his parents, Frank and Agnes Louise (Maze) Jarvis, and his sister, Linda (Jarvis) Randall.
His memory will be cherished by his family. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Kay (Jarvis) Cole; his three sons, John (Audi) Jarvis, Jarrod Jarvis, and Jeffrey Jarvis; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Beacon Hospice in Austin, Texas, for the comfort and care they provided.
Visitation will be on Friday October 23, 2026 from 11:00 am. to 1:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale. Graveside services will immediately follow at Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, the Jarvis Family encourages memorial donations to the Larry “Chico” Jackson Donation Fund. Established in 2025 by Larry “Chico” and Patty Jackson, the Foundation reflects their commitment to the Carbondale Community by helping young athletes and local families through sports programming and outreach.
