Danny Franklin Brown August 8, 1973 - December 12, 2025

Danny Franklin Brown, age 52, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Illinois, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on August 8, 1973, in Columbus, Mississippi, to Roger and Nora (Burkeen) Brown, Danny grew up with a vibrant spirit that touched everyone around him. He married the love of his life, Michelle Atkinson, and together they shared more than 32 years of devoted marriage filled with joy, adventure, and unwavering companionship.

Danny was a larger-than-life personality—fun-loving, charismatic, and always the life of the party. He had a deep passion for the outdoors, especially fishing, and found great satisfaction in working with his hands, basking in the sun, and creating lasting memories with those he cherished. Above all, his greatest joy came from his soulmate Michelle and his cherished family and friends, whose lives he enriched with his warmth, humor, and boundless love.
He is survived by; wife Michelle Brown; children; Jessica and Chris Perkins; Michael and Desi Boland; Daniel Boland; grandchildren; Kaden, Ella, Riley, Eli, Parker, Ann-elise, Allison, Maddox, Ivy; his parents Roger and Nora Brown; siblings; David and Emily Brown; Dwayne Brown; Derrek and Deanna Brown; Dawnette and Justin Franks; dear friends; Neal Hetal Patel; Sarah and Gerald “Boo” Ricker; and Lloyd as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Danny was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bedford Forest and Anna Margaret Burkeen, and Joe and Dorothy JoAnn Brown; and his grandchild, Evaleigh; aunt DayAnn Brown; cousin; Josh Wood.

Danny will be profoundly missed by all who knew him, but his infectious laughter, generous spirit, and enduring love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
