David Leonidas Scott ~ Carbondale – Walker Funeral Homes and Crematory

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the loss of David Leonidas Scott on Sunday August 6, 2023 at his residence in Carbondale, Illinois.

David was born June 21, 1986 in Fresno, California, the son of Rannah Sue Ellen Scott.

He is survived by his mother Rannah Scott, grandmother Shirley Scott, uncles: Herbert A. Scott, Wallace Clay, Brian Clay; Aunts: Megan Scott Bloodworth, Erin Scott, Kyla Scott; Cousins: Amanda, Whitney, Maevis, Lindsay, Austin, and Dillon and many close and dear friends.

David was preceded in death by his grandfather; Herbert S. Scott; grandmother; Diane Corbin and close friend and mentor Thomas Hughes.

Memorials can be made in David’s name to the: Carbondale Warming Center 608 East College Street Carbondale, Illinois 62901.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at a later date.

Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Southern Illinois entrusted with arrangements.

I love you David Lee. Seems like yesterday I watched you come into this world. I even cut the cord. I teased your Mother because it was “the longest day of the year” June 21st. (Summer Solstice). You were a beautiful person. And so smart and quick. When you were little and we were all at the beach I teased you about boys having coodies. You were about 3 or 4. Your Mom said”Kyla, he doesn’t even know what Coodies are.” and you piped up “Yes I do! They are little green bugs that fart on you!” I’m just so glad that you were close with Amanda, and Dillon.. we are all going to miss you. Love Aunt Kyla
