Dorothy Darlene Walker, 84, passed away peacefully at Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehab Care Center on Friday March 15th, 2024.
Dorothy was born December 21, 1939, in Monroe, Iowa to the late Clyde and Minerva (Thomasson) McReynolds.
Dorothy married the love of her life Richard W. Walker in 1972. They shared over 48 years of marriage till his passing 2020.
She is survived by her daughters: Judy D. Griffith of Marion, Illinois; Joanne (John) Mahurin of Holden, Missouri; Cindy Sanford of Holden, Missouri and son; Jerry W. Sanford of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; brother; Dan McReynolds of Des Moines, Iowa; stepdaughters; Carol (George) Juszczyk and LeeAnn (Steve) Stephenson; grandchildren; Austin L Walker, Paul Boring Jr., Tom Marker, Jerry Sanford and many other relatives and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; Clyde and Minerva McReynolds; brother; Floyd McReynolds; sister Visa Elgin; granddaughter Brandy (Marker) Barnel; stepdaughter; Donna Walker.
She enjoyed baking, sewing, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all.
