I never met Jay in person, but he felt like a brother to me. Knowing him for decades online in our frequent music and sports discussions, and just life in general, I have long felt a kinship with him. He gave me so many laughs over the years with his own special brand of offbeat humor, the back and forth bull sessions were priceless, especially when life made it harder to laugh. He could find humor in everything. and even in major disagreements would leave people laughing. I wish I would have met him in person and spent some time hanging out, but I know the wealth of his wit and the many memorable quotes I have filed away in my brain will stay with me, and somehow he will always be around making people laugh.

I’m saddened to hear of Jay’s passing and my prayers are with his wife and loved ones. Jay has brought laughter to so many and was a friend through his social media character. His quick wit and comedic genius was something I personally looked forward too and enjoyed. He is missed by our group and has left life long happy memories to so many.
