Jonathan “Brad” Bradley Friedline, a.k.a. Dr. Bradley Brown Scientist, 46, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022 in Carbondale.

Brad was born on August 20, 1975 in Carbondale the son of Mike Friedline and Marsha White.

Brad married Sabrina Cruse on Fort Myers Beach. He so enjoyed the beach life for many years, later parting ways, but remaining friends.

Brad was known to everyone in Carbondale, where he loved being with his family and friends and especially his best friend Stevie, his rescue dog, whom he found in an abandoned basement in Carbondale. He was a master carpenter and worked with his dad and uncle for many years learning and teaching himself the craft. He also owned and operated a landscaping business in Southern Illinois. He took care of many thankful people especially the elderly. He was very close friends with Harold and Trudy. He was an avid pool player and beloved member of the Carbondale Fraternal Order of Eagles #2569. He was a member of the APA, which he received many awards and won many tournaments as well as making lifelong friends. Brad loved music and was a true Grateful Dead fan. You’d see him dancing at all the festivals and concerts he could get to, including Summercamp and Sugarcreek. He was a huge fan of Back to the Future. And as a time traveler, he reported back “I have been to the future, the weed is amazing”.

He is survived by his beloved Dog Stevie; mother Marsha White Bigler of Florida; Grandma and second Mom Barbara S. Parrish of Carbondale; close Aunt and Uncle Sherri and Jerry Nance, their children Cierra, Billy (Angel) and John Nance. sister; Alli Wiggins of Kentucky; Amy Jo Bigler of New York; Sarah Bigler of Florida; Aunts and Uncles; Vickie Holfard of DeSoto; Melanie Furniss of Atlanta; Susan White of Murphysboro; Gary Cerutti of Carbondale; Laura Craig of Herrin; Joe Cerutti of Harrisburg; Kim Worthen of Murphysboro and many many cousins and a slew of friends.

Brad is preceded by his father Mike Friedline; grandfather John Randall Parrish; grandparents Lou and Margaret Cerutti “Papa & Mama C”.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, June 28 from 11:00 – 2:00 at Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale. *Wear your tye-dye!*

Brad was one of a kind with a gentle soul and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. What a long strange trip it’s been.
