CARBONDALE — Linda Kaye Snyder, 67, passed away at 12:50 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at her residence, surrounded by family.
She was born Oct. 3, 1946, in De Soto to Byron and Helen (Clarke) Payne.
Linda was a retired business owner. She had owned Carbondale Electric.
She married Max Snyder on Feb. 6, 1964, in Vienna, and they shared 37 years of marriage. He preceded her in death April 8, 2001.
Survivors include her daughter, Tressa and husband, Scott, Hunsaker of Carbondale; sons, Darren and wife, Sheila, Snyder of Carbondale and Max and wife, Christine, Snyder of Carbondale; companion and friend, Drew Bullar of De Soto; grandkids, Ashley Morgan, Clarissa Morgan, Logan Casner, Mackenzie Casner, Hayden Snyder, Allyson Snyder and Jayden Snyder; great-grandkids, Chandler Teeling and Chance Myers, both of Carterville, and Alexis Morgan of Cambria; brother, Carl and wife, Cathy, Payne of De Soto; and sister, Debbie Schoenberger of Birmingham, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Byron and Helen (Clarke) Payne; and husband, Max Snyder.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday Feb. 19, in Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale with Ralph Brandon officiating. Interment will be in De Soto Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
