It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the loss of Susan Lee Broski on Friday August 18, 2023 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
Susan was born on January 22, 1951 in Kankakee, Illinois, the daughter of Lee R. Simmons and Naomi (King) Simmons.
Susan was very committed to helping her local community. She was very involved in the Women’s Center where she would make sure to have basic household essentials on hand so when they called, she was there to help. But her proudest time was when she was honored to help take care of Katie Simonds till her passing.
She is survived by her husband; Jerome Broski of Carbondale; sons; Eric and Kelly Estep of Tamaro and Danny and fiancé Jennifer Estep of Benton; grandchildren; Chris Estep and Josie Estep and one great grandchild Kynle Rae Estep and many more family and friends.
Susan was preceded in death by her mother Naomi Simmons.
